Part 1
I viewed the Quick Start Guide, then went to Novelist Plus from the for readers tab and searched for the series of the Cat Who Mysteries by Lillian Jackson Braun, there are 32 books listed first published in 1986 , with the newest book Cat Who Had 60 Whiskers published in 2007.

Part 2
I went to author read- alikes for Michael Connelly and found George Pelecanos and John Sanford, checked out a few more mystery writers and their read-alikes very interesting site.
Part 3
In recommended reads I browsed through Mysteries, Thrillers and Suspense, Travel, History, Fiction A to Z, & Humor.
Novelist has a ton of information, and you can find almost anything you are looking for, it was fun finding out about all the things in the site, would use it to search out information I was looking for.
